Add half a cup of baking soda to a gallon-sized plastic bag. Slowly fill a plastic bag with white vinegar. You need to do this slowly as mixing the two ingredients can cause a bubble reaction. Fill only halfway until the mixture settles. Add 1 cup of water to dilute the mixture.

The ABS hand shower must be submerged in water, so be careful not to fill it up as it may overflow.

Place the bag on the ABS hand shower until it is completely submerged in the vinegar.

Tie the bag around the neck of the ABS hand shower with string or cable ties (zip ties) to ensure it is secure. Note that you don't want to lower the fixture due to the weight of the bag and its contents.

Let it soak for a few hours. If it is dirty, leave it overnight.

Undo the bag or cut the cable tie and remove it from the ABS hand shower. Pour liquid down the drain and turn on the faucet to flush out any residual minerals that may still be trapped inside the ABS hand shower. Check that water flows through all holes.

If there is more buildup, use an old toothbrush to scrub the shower head. You can also use a microfiber cloth to wipe the surface and remove any buildup. You will need to pay special attention to the area around the hole so that any deposits can be removed. You can rinse again with hot water and repeat until the ABS hand shower is clean.

After wiping the ABS hand shower with a soft cloth, all residues should be removed.

Your ABS hand shower is functional and looks like new.
